I have a lovely nuetered jill, aged about 4-5 years. I am moving away to college and cannot take her with me, I am therefore looking urgently for a new home for her or any helpp I can get on rehoming. She's incredibly friendly, cuddly and great with other ferrets. I live in Edinburgh and also have a 4-storey cage I am more than willing to give to her new owner.

Hi. I currently have two jills who are about 3 1/2 years old. I've just finished their accomodation and am looking for some more jills now that I know how much space I have. Unfortunately, my local ferret rescue has closed down and I am unable to find another one in my vicinity. I currently reside in West Yorkshire. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for some new ferrets who need a loving home. Two of the 5 I had have sadly passed away over the last two years, and my remaining two hobs seem quite lonely without the others. I have a large 3 storey ferret palace about 8 ft x 6 ft, with only the two ferrets in. They are both approximatey 6 yers old and are in need of some friends. If you have any good natured ferrets that need a good and lifetime home- any age or colour in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales then I would appreciate a call. They will be as pets only and not used for ferretting

My two year old baby got out of the house one wednesday afternoon after searching the local area for hours weds night and for three hours thursday afternoon in the evening i went around putting posters on lamposts and in the local shops on the way i stopped at my local pub to let everyone know that it was my ferret that was missing. ten minutes later to everyones suprise my little baby came running into the pub and straight to me. she was no worse for her ordeal in now having problems taking to a stray that i have taken in.

I need to rehome my 3 ferrets due to a severe lifestyle change. When I got them I was working, and could afford there up keep, since last march I came out of work due to ill health, went bankrupt in April of this year and had a baby in July. I dont really have the nessesary funds or time anymore for them, and its not fair. Through much soul searching ive decided it would be fairer to them to find them a nice loving home, with someone who can play with them on a daily basis.

Hi There, | |

I'm relatively new to ferret keeping, just over a year since I had my first two and I have found that there is so much conflicting advice it's hard to know what to do for the best. My first two ferrets came from a rescue centre and there I was told that their ferrets are given daily treats such as brocolli, peppers and tomato but at the rescue where I got my next two I was told this is a no-no. Is sunflower oil better to use than cod liver oil, if they nip do you tap them gently on the nose or not, can they have ice cream as a treat or not? I've only just been told that salt is poisonous to ferrets! I know, as with all things, different people will have different views and methods but when you are new to keeping ferrets you need all the help you can get to give them a healthy happy life.

I love the site and can't wait till the wicked weasel ferret show. I am hoping I can make it down there! I think your organisation is an excellent idea!! There isn't a lot of places in Liverpool that sell or adopt out ferrets. I think your site is an excellent way to try.

My daughter and I have been reading your site (and every other ferret site we can find!) researching ready for when we get our own ferrets. We live in South Wales and hope to get two kits, so if anyone out there can help please e-mail us. Is it true that kits are better for first time owners? Have had conflicting advice and am confused!
